“It was John Lennon and Janis Joplin that put us together”

Dino was hanging with David Peel, friend of John Lennon, when they went to see Sam Andrew, from Big Brother & The Holding Co., do a local NYC show. Jynx Lynx, who had her own punk rock band, Bombshell, was singing backups with him. Jynx was the classic Gemini: mild-mannered elementary school music teacher by day, raving hard rock singer by night!

She had Dino join her on a few of her solo shows and eventually over time it became JYNX & DINO. Dino by now extending further into his THEREMIN playing as well as 12-string guitar. The music was a mix of Jynxs’ originals, a couple redesigned cover songs (name that tune?), and Dino songs and, still is.
